Christmas ALWAYS starts a bit earlier when you are involved in retail or product photography. You can be discussing or planning a seasonal chrimbo photography shoot as early as August, and probably shooting themed sessions from around October. With Yuletide being on my radar for a few months in the build up to the big day, I'm more than happy to annoy my kids by insisting that the Christmas tree comes down on Boxing Day for those very reasons.
